A year after his first-ever live show, Morgan’s first solo album, I Want to See You Again, Wallan’s sophomore LP, is back on the shelves.
The first full-length album since 2010’s I Want You Back, which featured the singles “A Boy and His Dog” and “Hush” (which inspired a movie), I Want To See You again is an exploration of life and grief, one that has been in the works for nearly a decade.
It’s the kind of album that Wallan was meant to create, and one that the former Pink Floyd and My Chemical Romance frontman has called “the album that saved me from dying.”
Wallan told Rolling Stone in a recent interview that he’s been listening to new songs as he makes the album and says he’s “really enjoying” it.
Wallaian has said in the past that he’d like to release another solo album before the end of this year, but his latest comments seem to suggest that the plan is in motion.
“I want to see you again,” he said in an interview with Billboard last month.
“I’ve been going through this with my kids and it’s really tough.
I think I’d like for it to be done this year.
I’ve got a lot of songs and I’m trying to keep them all together, and I think it’s going to be really good.”
I Want To Watch You Again is out September 12 on the Warner Bros. label, and Wallan is set to perform at this year’s Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.
